Karla is an experienced Early Childhood Educator that has a passion for diversity and equity in education. She believes open ended materials, emergent curriculum and nature play should be made available to all, and it is her hope to instill this passion in her students and families. Karla holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Adolescent Development and Associates’ Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Music. From 2019-2020, Karla worked at Muse School as an Early Childhood Educator. There, she conducted a child-led, nature based preschool class within a program that included hiking, farming, and teaching children about sustainable practices . Karla is skilled at documenting children at play, photography, and playing music. We are excited to bring Karla’s creativity and curiosity about nature to our Manzanita Seeds.
