EJ Johnson

EJ (Chevy J) has been nurturing, teaching and sharing her gifts and wisdom with Manzanita from the beginning. She has been involved in food preparation for over 20 years, and was our school’s chef during our first two years. She has supported families in healthy meal planning, preparation and nutritional counseling, and has taught culinary arts classes to all grades. EJ runs the Manzanita compost program, and is a co-founder of the farm. She has also been a Stewardship mentor for the past seven years, and also a nature-skills naturalist for the early elementary. EJ has attended dozens of primitive skills gatherings, and brings her passion and gifts for ancestral skills to our students.
