Although we live in a time of change and unpredictability, it is also a moment of tremendous possibility and opportunity.
An important philosophical element guiding Manzanita School and Institute is our commitment to supporting an emerging narrative for understanding our world. This story is an optimistic accounting of human beings, their origins and potentials, and is a narrative into which all learning is framed. This narrative is hopeful, while being solidly grounded in both science and cultural history.
Through our curriculum and programs, students will build a rigorous knowledge of their own past, their tremendous potentials, and their deep connection to others and the planet to generate and support new stories to address and solve our world’s most critical problems.
