Jenny Griffiths

Jenny is one of the Co-Founders of Manzanita School, acts as the Director of Special Programs, and is the Administrative Director of the Seeds program (K-2). She taught art for over 20 years and has been involved in a variety of community projects, including student-driven art installations, environmental art projects, and numerous student art shows, offering vital opportunities for community recognition of student work. Jenny has also designed and delivered courses for mothers in building mother-daughter groups, a project supporting networks of mentors for adolescent girls. Jenny has been leading parent council groups at Manzanita since 2014. Jenny values the children, the love, the oaks, and all of her amazing colleagues at Manzanita, through which she feels the ever-present possibility of transformation for all. Outside of school hours, Jenny loves time in nature, art projects, carving, reading, visiting one-on-one with friends, adventures out in the world, listening to music and podcasts, and her sweetheart, Dr. Paul.
Educational Background: Jenny holds a Master’s Degree in Art Education, with an emphasis on empathy-building in the arts. She also holds a California K-12 teaching credential, and certification in Theater from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and is working toward Certification as a Council Facilitator and Trainer.
