The Manzanita Institute presents a workshop with Adam Wes, a math educator and founder of the tutoring service Heart of Mathematics Education (HOME), which teaches Intuitive Mathematics to both students and adults. Mathematics is often taught with an emphasis on memorization, without providing for a full understanding of what numbers are and why equations work out the way they do.

Adam has developed a paradigm-shifting workshop on Intuitive Mathematics. This approach is consistent with Manzanita’s emphasis on development of number sense and an appreciation for the structural integrity of mathematical thinking.
