Bringing About Environmental Change Through Social Movements
Monday, April 24th, 2017 @ Manzanita School

Alana Lea is a community activist who travels through South America and fights for change through reforestation. Alana is a deeply engaged member of her community and is helping support family owned organic nurseries in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Alana shares stories from her journey to create change. As the Founder of the iGiveTrees project, she's been able to give 6,000 trees back to the rainforest in rural Brazil, with the support of many generous friends on five continents. The organization is  crowdfunding the restoration of biodiversity through organic reforestation, for the benefit of rural organizations, small social entrepreneurs and families in the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
